Still on the outside, but inside – something’s shifting. A tide rising, pulling, threatening to spill over. He’s holding it together, just about, but you can see it in his skin – stretched thin like the surface of the ocean before a storm. Blue, deep and endless, like thoughts that won’t settle. Some waves crash, some just keep building.
