Inspired by a black-and-white photograph I came across at a beach resort in Canggu. For centuries, local Balinese women traditionally went without upper clothing, except when required by dress codes, such as in temples. While this practice has largely faded, some grandmothers in remote villages still uphold it in the privacy of their homes, a quiet echo of a tradition once woven into daily life.
