This piece was inspired by my Instagram feed, where a feminist shared her thoughts on body positivity and self-acceptance. Over the centuries, perceptions of the human body have shifted like passing clouds. Yet, people conditioned to self-criticism often believe that today's beauty standards define ultimate perfection – an idea that is, ironically, entirely subjective.
Just as subjective as any form of self-expression across different cultures.
That’s why this painting embraces bold, spontaneous brushstrokes, laid down with complete freedom. A celebration of an authentic body – one that refuses to be tamed.
